How to prepare your raw bird nest for cooking?


Here are the quick guide steps to cook your bird nest with recipes of different delicious and nutritious flavors such as rock sugar bird nest, red dates bird nest and more.

1. First, soak the raw bird nest with clear or mineral water in a big bowl for roughly 30 to 45 minutes depending on the speed of expansion.

2. Proceed to remove any remaining tiny feathers and dirt specks with a pair of forceps then drain out the water.

3. Prepare a boiler by filling the pot with water.

4. Place the bird nest into the pot and fill it with hot water.

5. Leave to boil for 1 hour on a medium fire.

6. You can drink it hot or cold. 

Cooked bird’s nest can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.

(1) 燕窝要先用清水浸透,期间换水一至两次,浸过燕窝的水不用保留(各燕窝品种浸透需时不同)。

(2) 燕窝浸发后,可用不锈钢钳拣去细毛(天然燕窝会有极少的细毛藏于燕窝内,这属于正常现象;长者或视力较弱者 可加一块白布于掌心上,减轻眼睛疲劳)。

(3) 将浸透的燕窝放在双层不锈钢过滤网内,一边冲洗,一边把燕窝撕开,便可将杂质冲去。
